Individual Therapy

life transitions / stress / anxiety / depression / trauma / identity / purpose / clarity / resilience / well-being / career / creativity / self-compassion

With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in helping individuals navigate the complexity of their inner worlds—thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and the patterns that shape daily life. My approach is grounded in evidence-based, integrative care that draws from clinical psychology, neuroscience, and process-based therapies. I work from a lens that recognizes both your individuality and the broader systems and contexts that influence your experience.

Individual therapy is a space to better understand what you’re feeling, why it’s happening, and how to create meaningful change. While emotions like anxiety, sadness, or uncertainty are part of being human, they can become overwhelming or disruptive. Together, we identify what’s getting in the way—whether it’s rumination, self-doubt, burnout, or unresolved experiences—and begin to shift the patterns that keep you stuck.

My work is active, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I use structured, time-limited approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), the Unified Protocol for emotional disorders, Emotion Focused Therapy, and third-wave CBT interventions like Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based practices. These approaches focus not only on insight, but on building practical skills to regulate emotions, reduce distress, and improve how you relate to yourself and the world around you.

I work with Clients across a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, identity exploration, and life transitions. Many of my clients are creatives and high-performance professionals—individuals working in fast-paced, high-visibility, or high-stakes environments such as entertainment, tech, medicine, law, and the arts. These roles often come with intense pressure, perfectionism, inconsistent schedules, public scrutiny, and a constant demand for innovation or output, which can lead to burnout, anxiety, identity confusion, or creative blocks. All while navigating complex identities and the tension between external success and internal well-being.  I understand the unique psychological demands of sustaining excellence while also maintaining a sense of self, purpose, and well-being. Our work focuses on helping you navigate the tension between productivity and authenticity, reconnect with intrinsic motivation, and develop sustainable ways of working and living. Whether you're managing success, tagnation, or redefining your relationship to achievement, therapy becomes a space to recalibrate, restore creative flow, and build a life that supports both ambition and personal fulfillment.

I have specialized experience working with LGBTQIA+ individuals, trauma survivors, and those who feel marginalized or disconnected from their authentic selves. My approach is affirming, culturally competent, and grounded in an understanding of how stigma, identity, and lived experience shape mental health. I provide a space to explore identity, process trauma, and reconnect with a more integrated and authentic sense of self, while building resilience and self-trust. (See other Ares of Expertise)

Therapy is not just about symptom reduction—it’s about developing clarity, flexibility, and a stronger sense of self. We explore both present-day challenges and the underlying narratives, beliefs, and experiences that shape how you move through the world. This includes attention to the body, where stress and trauma are often held, as well as the role of identity, relationships, and environment in your mental health.

You don’t need a diagnosis to benefit from therapy. Many people seek support during periods of transition, uncertainty, or growth. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or simply ready for change, therapy can help you build momentum and reconnect with what matters most.

I offer a pragmatic, non-pathologizing, and deeply individualized approach. The goal is not just to help you feel better—but to help you function more effectively, live more authentically, and create a life that aligns with your values.
