I work with both adults and adolescents on an individual basis in psychotherapy, as well as through life coaching services. Individual psychotherapy helps clients deal with particular issues, symptoms, and stressors. My goal is to provide a safe, non judgmental space for you to explore who you are, how you relate to others, and what supports you on your journey to become your best self.  I lean into, listen, understand, and enhance authentic expression. Together we create a collaborative process of transformation. What that means and what that looks like is different for everyone.

I provide couples/relational/family therapy for adolescents and adults both in the context of their relationships (with your partners/family/friends) as well as through relationship-focused therapy for individuals who want to improve their interpersonal lives.  Our relationships impact our thoughts, our feelings, and our behaviors.  Relationships can be supportive, or they can weigh us down. How our relationships impact us can be obvious to us and everyone around us, or they can be insidious and live in the pit of our stomachs-- creeping up on us as feelings we can’t put the right words to. ...and anywhere in between… It can be difficult to understand and connect how these feelings slowly change what we do and who we are. 

‘Relational’ therapy with more than one client aims to help improve interactions with each other, achieve relational goals, and cultivate value and meaning together.  I also provide sex therapy for individuals and relationships.

Telehealth enables individuals and couples around the world to engage in valuable coaching. You can improve important aspects of your life like your wellbeing, work life balance, motivation, inspiration, sexual health, and relationship satisfaction all from the comfort of your own home. We will focus on your goals: your stance and your skills, your attitudes and your actions. I offer coaching services using behavioral analyses, motivational interventions, psychoeducation, mindfulness practices, narrative techniques, and more. Making time to focus on your wellbeing is important for all facets of life.

As an expert in trauma/sexual assault, LGBTQIA+ affirming relationships, gender diversity, sex worker ally-ship, kink, BDSM, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, swinging, and open relationships, I am able to read scripts and offer workshops to provide feedback on authenticity and safety. I can provide consultation on scripts to help shows avoid exclusion, tropes, and problematic constructs about gender, sexual orientation, sexual assault/trauma, and diverse relationships.

Consultation for therapists and sex therapists is available for practitioners who want to work individually with Dr. Ingrid Solano. Consultation gives you a chance to share your cases, hear ample feedback, receive interventions and get clinical direction from a clinician with expertise in couples therapy, sexuality, and LGBT+ Affirming therapy.

Currently I am providing training in Relationship Coaching for mental health professionals working on, or holding, a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology. Licensure is not required to train with me at this level.

Group therapy provides the opportunity to explore patterns of relating to others and experiment with new ways of interacting. Many people learn new skills and perspectives through hearing the rich and experiential stories of others. Group members have novel insights, or may be able to relate to you in ways that promote growth and understanding that you had not considered before alone, or in individual therapy.
